Comments made in reference to the infamous dictator of Cuba by Senator John McCain were hardly warm this Friday. The presidential hopeful said for the former dictator that, "I hope he has the opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon." Karl Marx, the revolutionary and fore-thinker philosopher of communism during the 1800's, obviously has joined those resting in their graves long past in 1883. The implication that McCain was making was obviously that he hopes that the eighty-one-year-old former dictator will soon pass away himself.
Fidel Castro has retired from his position as the absolute leader of Cuba, stepping down with the expectation that his brother, Raul Castro will take over as head of state. Senator McCain said in reference to Castro's brother, "Raul is worse in many respects than Fidel was." McCain expressed other sentiments that the condition of Cuba will continue to grow worse under the regime of Raul Castro than it was under Fidel Castro.
